Fourth of July Beach Party & Fireworks

Celebrate America’s Independence Day at the City of Fort Lauderdale’s free 4th of July Spectacular!
The Independence Day Celebration will feature a patriotic extravaganza in Las Olas Oceanside Park and on Fort Lauderdale Beach featuring live bands, a kids zone, beach games, contests, family activities, and a dazzling fireworks display. The kids zone provides nonstop energy and excitement with plenty of music, inflatable water slides, face painting, and a variety of other amusing beach games.
As the sun goes down, the celebration heats up with live music and entertainment from the iconic R&B group En Vogue! En Vogue is an American R&B, soul, and club/dance vocal group known for their harmonies, soulful vocals, and diva stage presence. Top hits include “My Lovin (You’re Never Gonna Get It)”, “Don’t Let Go (Love)”, “Whatta Man (feat. Salt-n-Pepa)”, “Don’t Go”, and many more.
After the sun sets all eyes will turn toward the sky for the City’s spectacular 23-minute fireworks show on Fort Lauderdale Beach at 8:45 p.m. This dazzling pyrotechnic display is an annual favorite of children and adults of all ages!

Water Taxi Stops

Departs every 30 minutes with service towards the beach at Stop #6: International Swimming Hall of Fame.
- Runs 10 AM – 10 PM (Board prior to 7:30 p.m. to see the fireworks show.)

Traffic Advisory
Motorists should expect heavy traffic and are encouraged to avoid the area and seek alternate travel routes or transportation.
6 AM – Midnight
Las Olas Boulevard between A1A and Seabreeze Boulevard will be closed from 6 a.m. to midnight on Thursday, July 4.
- Northbound A1A traffic may access turnarounds at Poinsettia and Cortez Streets.
- Southbound A1A traffic may access turnaround at 600 Seabreeze Boulevard.
- Las Olas Circle is closed north of the Las Olas Garage as well as the southbound lane of Birch Road between Poinsettia and Cortez Streets.
- Anyone traveling south on Birch Road towards the Garage must detour to Seabreeze Boulevard at Cortez Street in order to head south. Motorists should expect heavy traffic and are encouraged to avoid the area and seek alternate travel routes or transportation.
8 PM – Midnight
- Southbound traffic on Seabreeze Boulevard will be diverted to Las Olas Boulevard westbound.
- Eastbound traffic on Las Olas Boulevard will be diverted south on Seabreeze Boulevard.
- The turnaround south of the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Center at will be closed.
