Community Input Needed for Railroad Underpass Study — March 5

Plans to convert a railroad crossing into an underpass at East Sunrise Boulevard and North Flagler Drive in Fort Lauderdale will be discussed at a meeting on Thursday, March 5.

The meeting will start at 6 p.m. at the Holiday Park Social Center. Residents can also attend online. See QR code on flyer below to register.

From the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization:

Your voice is essential as we explore ways to enhance connectivity and support long‑term community growth. The proposed effort will examine the feasibility of constructing five roadway–railroad underpasses with the goal of:

  • Improving mobility and accessibility

  • Increasing travel options and modal choice

  • Creating new and active transportation connections

  • Identifying opportunities for infrastructure hardening

  • Preparing the region for future growth and economic development
This workshop provides the opportunity to review the study’s purpose, ask questions, and share your feedback on potential solutions. We hope you will join us and help shape the future of mobility in our community. More information is also available at: https://www.browardmpo.org/major-initiatives/trax
